RRB JE, DMS & CMA Eligibility 2026

Match the qualification with the exact post entry and exam group shown in Annexure A.

  • ✓
Junior Engineer: The accepted engineering diploma or degree depends on the JE category selected. A branch is valid only when Annexure A maps it to that post and exam group.
  • ✓
Depot Material Superintendent: DMS accepts a recognised three-year engineering diploma from any discipline. A higher engineering qualification can be used where the notification treats it as meeting the same requirement.
  • ✓
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: For CMA, the B.Sc. must include Physics and Chemistry, and the candidate needs at least 45% marks.
  • ✓
Qualification cut-off: The required result has to be available by the application closing date. A pending final result does not meet the qualification condition.
  • ✓
Post preference check: Before choosing preferences, compare the qualification, exam group and medical standard attached to each post entry in Annexure A.

⚙️ Selection Process
The railway recruitment process begins with the CBT-I exam, which is a screening test solely for shortlisting candidates. After passing this exam, you'll appear for the CBT-II exam, where your technical subject scores will be crucial. This will be followed by document verification and a medical examination as per railway regulations. Finally, your final selection for the job will be determined by a merit list based on your CBT-II scores, your eligibility, reservation criteria, and medical fitness.
