BSNL JTO Pay, Training & Service Bond

JTO (Telecom) is placed in the IDA E-1 scale of ₹16,400–40,500 under the 2nd PRC structure. To join BSNL, you must sign a bond that requires you to serve the company for a minimum of five years. If you leave before this period, you'll be required to pay ₹6 lakh. Furthermore, upon joining, you'll have a two-year probation period, and you'll be required to successfully complete the training prescribed by BSNL before your job is confirmed.
BSNL JTO Selection Process
If you achieve the required passing marks in each section and overall, a merit list (rank) will be prepared based on your Computer Based Test (CBT) scores. Your documents will then be verified and you will undergo a medical examination as per BSNL regulations. Finally, the state or circle you will be assigned to will be determined by three factors: your merit rank, the number of vacant seats in that region, and your preferred location when you filled out the application.

Engineering Stream – Section I 50 200 Part of the common 3-hour CBT
Engineering Stream – Section II 50 200 Part of the common 3-hour CBT
General Ability – Section III 20 80 Part of the common 3-hour CBT

Qualifying Standard Sectional + Overall 40% + 50% general; 35% + 45% reserved Reserved standard covers SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS
Merit Condition: To pass the BSNL exam, you must fulfill two conditions: first, you must secure a minimum cut-off in each section (subject), and second, you must achieve the passing mark by combining the marks of all sections. Furthermore, if the exam is conducted on different days or shifts (sessions), BSNL will use a 'normalization' method to equalize the difficulty level of the paper, and the final merit list will be prepared accordingly.
Documents to Keep Ready for the Next Stage
Keep the application form or registration record and proof of payment together. Also, carry your Class 10 certificate or other valid document to prove your date of birth. Keep your main degree or provisional degree, along with mark sheets for each semester or year, handy. If you are claiming exemption under the SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, or PwBD categories, keep your valid caste or disability certificate in the prescribed format. You should also have a valid photo ID, and if you work for a government, PSU, or autonomous body, keep a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer for verification.
