🎓CPCB Post-Wise Eligibility 2026
- Scientist-D: To apply for this position, you must have a first-class Master's degree (MSc) in Environmental or Natural Science, or a first-class BE/BTech degree in a selected branch of Engineering/Technology. Additionally, you must have at least 7 years of experience in the environmental or pollution control field and have published research work or research papers that meet established standards.
- Scientist-C: the accepted degree streams are the same broad set notified for the scientist posts. The role carries a lower research-output threshold than Scientist-D and requires five years of relevant practical experience.
- Scientist-B: applicants need the notified first-class master’s or BE/BTech qualification, along with either a valid GATE score above the 90th percentile or NET-JRF, plus three years of relevant experience.
- Assistant Manager (Finance): CPCB accepts first-class M.Com in the notified finance/accounting or taxation area, CA, or MBA in Finance & Accounting. Eight years of post-qualification work is required, including the specified taxation and accounts-related exposure.
- Administrative Assistant: a first-class bachelor’s degree, computer knowledge and five years of post-qualification administrative experience are required. The post also carries a noting-and-drafting skill test; first-class postgraduation is listed as desirable.
- Scientific Assistant: the required base qualification is a first-class master’s in the notified Environmental/Natural Science disciplines or first-class BE/BTech in the listed streams, together with GATE above the 90th percentile or NET-JRF.
- Taxonomist: first-class M.Sc. is the essential qualification. The notice separately lists Botany/Zoology background, higher marks, GATE/NET-JRF and research-output conditions as desirable points.
- Data Entry Operator: first-class B.Sc. or BCA is required. The selection requirements also include a computer skill test covering MS Office and the stated English and Hindi typing speeds.

Since these positions are purely temporary and specific to the 'SER Phase-III' project, this position cannot be used to secure a permanent or regular position with the CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) in the future. Once selected, you may be posted to any of the following locations: Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, or Chandigarh. CPCB will not provide any accommodation or travel allowance (TA/DA) for attending the interview. You will have to make all the necessary arrangements.
