💵 NICL Assistant Salary & Benefits
Basic pay will start at ₹36,290. As your service progresses, it can go up to ₹1,00,865. In major metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, or Kolkata, your starting gross salary will be around ₹63,000 per month. This includes basic pay, plus allowances like dearness allowance (DA) and house rent (HRA). Salary may vary slightly depending on the city you are posted in. Furthermore, the amount deposited into your bank account after taxes and PF deductions will be slightly less. you will also receive other government benefits like medical insurance, gratuity, and pension, as per company rules.

The selection route is The selection process is Phase I Prelims → Phase II Main Examination → Qualifying Regional Language Test → Eligibility/Document Scrutiny → Final State-wise Selection. Phase I is only for advancement. The real competition is the Main Examination, but you will only get the job if you pass the language and document verification.

Mains Section Timing:In Phase II, you will be given 30 minutes each for Reasoning (40 questions), English (40 questions), and Numerical Ability (40 questions). For General Awareness (40 questions) and Computer Knowledge (40 questions), you will be given 15 minutes each. Each section has a designated time limit, and you can only advance to the next section after the time for the current section is up.
🕒 Admit Card Release & Exam-Day Update
The Phase-I exam admit card has started downloading from 20th August 2026. To download the admit card, you will have to enter your registration number or roll number. Along with this, you will have to enter your password or date of birth, only then you will be able to download it. Your Preliminary Test is on 27th August 2026, read your admit card carefully. It will have the exact shift of your exam, reporting time, exam centre (venue) and the rules regarding the ID proof (like Aadhar card/PAN card) to be carried with you. Read it carefully so that there is no problem at the exam centre.
