Qualification, experience and suitability for the field role
- ✓Education: A graduate or postgraduate qualification is accepted in Rural Development & Management, Social Work or Sociology.
- ✓Experience: Applicants need at least three years of hands-on rural-development experience with a government body or a non-government organisation.
- ✓Computer ability: The role calls for practical use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, backed by a computer-course certificate.
- ✓Language: Bengali or the local vernacular is treated as a preference rather than a separate vacancy condition.
- ✓SHG exposure: A clear understanding of self-help groups and their federations is expected for this assignment.
- ✓Preference: Community-level workers, women and candidates from Malda district receive preference.
- ✓Service restrictions: A selected person cannot continue in the conflicting SHG-federation, PRI, ICDS, ASHA, government or NGO roles listed in the memo.

As a DRP (District Resource Person), you'll work closely with the DMMU (District Mission Management Unit) to raise awareness and organize people, especially women, in rural areas. Your goal is to strengthen self-help groups (SHGs) and their organizations, create new employment and income sources for villagers, and help them market their products. This role will require extensive fieldwork and travel outside your block or district, for which you must be fully prepared.
