Reservation Reading: The tables above cover a total of 7,299 posts. When looking for a seat or post where horizontal reservation—such as reservation for women, disabled, or sports quota—applies, consult the entry for that specific post or category in the official JSSC brochure to determine the exact number. Do not judge the totals based solely on the totals for vertical categories (e.g., General, OBC, SC, ST), as horizontal reservation seats are allocated separately within the same main category. Therefore, for accurate and precise information, consider the numbers in the brochure as final and correct.
JSSC Para Teacher Eligibility 2026

This para-teacher recruitment is based on the old service rules of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), so simply having a degree (educational qualification) isn't enough. You must have a solid service record, as well as a certificate of teacher training (such as a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed.) and a certificate of passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) that matches the class level and subject group you're applying to teach.

  • Service condition: The applicant has to be an eligible JEPC para teacher or assistant teacher and meet the continuous-service requirement counted on the advertisement date.
  • Classes 1–5: The accepted routes combine the prescribed 10+2 or graduation standard with D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed or the permitted Special Education route, together with the TET condition applicable to the primary level.
  • Science & Mathematics, Classes 6–8: The degree and school-level subject combination must fall within the technical, science, agriculture or mathematics routes listed for this group, along with an accepted teacher-training qualification.
  • Social Science, Classes 6–8: The graduation stream must match one of the notified Arts, Humanities, Social Science, Commerce or Management routes and be supported by the required professional training.
  • Language, Classes 6–8: The graduation or honours subject has to correspond to one of the languages listed by JSSC for the language group.
  • TET and marks: The TET must match the relevant class/subject route. Where the brochure permits CTET or a neighbouring-state TET for eligible Jharkhand residents, the later JTET condition still applies. The notified relaxation in qualifying marks remains category-specific.
Cut-Off Check: Due to the original application process being halted, please recheck all your required certificates and eligibility dates based on the new notice of JSSC to avoid any mistake while submitting the form.
Reservation & Certificate Rules
  • Jharkhand Category Claim: Due to the original application process being halted, please recheck all your required certificates and eligibility dates based on the new notice of JSSC to avoid any mistake while submitting the form.
  • EBC-I / BC-II: The non-creamy-layer condition has to be met in the form accepted for the Jharkhand state category.
  • EWS / PwBD: The relevant income-and-asset or disability certificate must satisfy the authority, format and validity conditions attached to that claim.
  • Service record: The para-teacher experience claim should be backed by the service document required for the class level concerned.
JSSC Para Teacher Salary 2026
Intermediate Trained Assistant Acharya • Classes 1–5 Pay Level-4 • ₹25,500–81,100
Graduate Trained Assistant Acharya • Classes 6–8 Pay Level-5 • ₹29,200–92,300
These figures represent a range of salaries (starting and ending) for both teaching levels. This does not mean that you will receive the exact same amount every month. The actual amount (in-hand salary) you receive each month will depend on the allowances (such as dearness allowance or house rent allowance) you receive at the time of employment and the deductions (such as taxes or PF) from your salary.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection Route: In this JTAACCE recruitment, there will be only one Main Exam for both regular and backlog posts, in which all questions will be objective and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. If the exam is held in more than one shift, normalization will be used to balance the marks before preparing the merit list. Following this, the shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original documents to prove their employment, qualification, TET passing, and reservation claims.

Classes 1–5 • Intermediate Level

Paper Questions Marks Time
Paper 1 – Mother Tongue 100 100 2 hr
Paper 2 – Notified Language 100 100 2 hr
Paper 3 – GK + Social Science + Science/Math 200 200 3 hr
For classes 1 to 5, Paper 1 is a qualifying exam only, requiring a minimum of 30% marks to pass. However, the marks in this paper are not considered in your final merit list (cutoff). Your actual merit list is calculated by combining your scores in Paper 2 and Paper 3 out of a total of 300 marks, meaning selection depends entirely on your performance in these two papers.

Classes 6–8 • Graduate Level

Paper Questions Marks Time
Paper 1 – Mother Tongue 100 100 2 hr
Paper 2 – Notified Language 100 100 2 hr
Paper 3 – GK & Current Affairs 100 100 2 hr
Paper 4 – Subject Paper 180 180 3 hr
The exam rules for classes 6 to 8 are very simple: Paper 1 is a qualifying paper, meaning its marks will not count towards the final merit (cutoff); you simply need to pass it. Similarly, Paper 4 also requires a minimum of 33% marks to pass. Your final merit list will be compiled by combining your scores for Papers 2, 3, and 4, for a total of 380 marks.
Minimum Qualifying Percentage
Category Minimum Qualifying Marks
UR / EWS 40%
BC-II 36.5%
EBC-I 34%
SC / ST / Women 32%
PVTG 30%
Paper 4 Choice: Science and Maths candidates will have to attempt the prescribed sections of their subject, Social Science candidates will have to attempt questions from their subject group, and the language paper will include English along with questions from the second language of your choice. Simply put, you will have to answer questions from your chosen background (e.g. Science-Maths or Social Science) in the exam, while English will be compulsory in the language paper along with a paper in another language of your choice as mentioned in the brochure.
Merit And Allotment: The ranking (merit list) will be based only on the marks obtained in the papers considered for merit. The post you will be allotted depends on three factors: your rank in the merit list, the post preference you filled in the application form, and the available vacancies at that time. If two or more candidates have exactly the same marks (a tie), the criteria given in the official JSSC brochure will apply, rather than any other criteria.
How to Apply When JSSC Reopens the Form
Wait For The Revised Schedule. If registration dates have been withdrawn (i.e., canceled), do not consider them authorization or a valid time to fill out the form. Also, never enter your personal information, such as name, phone number, or Aadhaar card details, on any fake or unofficial website. Always rely only on official websites for any information to protect yourself from fraud or scams.
  • Step 1: Open the revised JTAACCE-2026 Para Category application only from the JSSC website after a fresh schedule is published.
  • Step 2: Before choosing regular, backlog or both options, match the service, class level, subject group, teacher-training and TET rules with your own documents.
  • Step 3: Enter personal, service, qualification and reservation details exactly as supported by the certificates you intend to produce later.
  • Step 4: Complete the fee and upload steps shown on the revised portal, review the form once, then keep the submitted application and payment record for verification.
Documents to Keep Ready
To apply on the revised Jharkhand Teacher Recruitment portal, you'll need to have a few essential documents ready. These include a certificate of para-teacher service or experience, mark sheets/certificates from Class 10th and 12th, and graduation documents for Classes 6 to 8th. Additionally, you'll need a teacher-training certificate (such as a B.Ed./D.El.Ed.) used for teacher eligibility, and proof of passing the JTET or a valid TET. If you wish to avail any reservation benefits, also have a Jharkhand domicile certificate and caste/category certificate. Finally, keep your passport-sized photo, digital signature, and identity proof (such as an Aadhaar card) handy for submitting the form to avoid any difficulties.
Source & Verification: A total of 7,299 posts (6,101 regular and 1,198 backlog) have been announced under the advertisements, in which eligible candidates of both the advertisements can apply with a single combined application and single examination fee (₹100 for General/OBC and ₹50 for SC/ST of Jharkhand), whose age limit is minimum 21 years and maximum 35 to 45 years as on 1st August 2026, and the application status has been fixed as per the necessary information of JSSC dated 30th July 2026 and the new examination/application schedule will be valid only when it is released on the official website JSSC Portal.
