Performance scoring:
To pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) in Chennai, you must qualify for each item separately and receive only one attempt. In push-ups and sit-ups, 30 points are awarded for 30 or more reps, 25 points for 21 to 29 reps, and 20 points for 15 to 20 reps. However, completing 14 or fewer reps will disqualify you. For the 1-kilometer run, completing it in less than 4 minutes will earn you 30 points, 20 points for 4 to 5 minutes, and 10 points for 5 to 6 minutes. Any time longer than 6 minutes will result in disqualification. You must also produce a recent medical fitness certificate issued within the stipulated timeframe.
