📌 Current status: IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has extended the last date to apply for Customer Service Associate (Clerk) Recruitment 2026 (CRP CSA-XVI) to August 28, 2026. The last date for filling the form and depositing the fees, which was earlier August 21, has been extended to August 28, 2026. The last date for editing/correcting the form is from September 4 to September 5, 2026. The Prelims exam will be held on October 10 and 11, 2026. The Mains exam will be held on December 27, 2026. After that, there is a local language test, which is mandatory to pass.

IBPS CSA-XVI Eligibility 2026
- ✓Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in any stream is acceptable when it comes from a recognised university or is treated as an equivalent Central Government qualification. The result should have been declared by 21 August 2026.
- ✓Computer knowledge: Computer literacy has to be supported either by a course/degree or by having studied Computer or Information Technology during school, college or another recognised programme.
- ✓State / UT choice: The form is linked to the State/UT selected by the applicant. Vacancy figures, test-language choices and the local-language condition should be checked before choosing it.
- ✓Local language: For the opted State/UT, the notified language needs to be usable in reading, writing, speaking and understanding.
- ✓Citizenship: Indian citizens are eligible. The other citizenship classes allowed by IBPS remain subject to the Government eligibility certificate wherever that certificate is required.

💵 IBPS Customer Service Associate Pay Scale
A clerk's salary starts at ₹24,050 and can go up to ₹64,480. Additionally, there's dearness allowance (DA), house rent (HRA), and other benefits as per bank regulations. Each bank's regulations vary. Therefore, it's not correct to assume that everyone across the country will receive the same fixed 'in-hand' salary.

⚙️ IBPS CSA-XVI 2026 – Selection Process
Prelims:- This is just a passing exam (screening). Its marks are not added to your final merit list. Mains:- This is the most important exam to get a job. Your final merit list and job selection is based on this marks. This selection is according to the seats in your state or union territory (State/UT). Local Language Test:- Before joining the job, you should know the local language of that state (like Punjabi for Punjab, Marathi for Maharashtra). If you have not studied that language in 10th/12th, you will have to pass a test in it. No Interview:- There is no interview in this clerk recruitment. You get a job directly after passing the Mains exam. Negative Marking:- There are objective (MCQ) questions in the exam. If you answer any question wrongly, 1/4 (0.25) marks will be deducted. But, if you leave a question blank (do not provide any answer), no marks will be deducted.

🗣️ Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Should you possess a Class 10 or higher marksheet or certificate indicating that you studied the local language as a subject, you will not be required to take a separate language test. However, if you do not have such a certificate, you will be required to pass a language examination before joining the job.
