🕒 Rally Schedule – 31 August to 9 September 2026
The overall rally time is from August 31st to September 9th, 2026; however, this does not necessarily mean that applicants must report on the same day. You must arrive at your center on the date and time printed on your admit card. Plan to arrive early for entry, document verification, and other formalities..
💼 What an Agniveervayu Musician Does
✓
A musician may perform with Air Force bands during parades, ceremonial programmes and other service events.
✓
Regular rehearsals, group practice and individual work on the instrument are part of staying performance-ready.
✓
Music duties sit alongside military discipline, physical training, dress requirements and other tasks assigned in service.
✓
The role also involves caring for authorised instruments or equipment and helping with band setup, movement and preparation.
✓
Posting and day-to-day duties can vary with Air Force requirements during the four-year term.
🎯 Final Preparation Before Reporting
A short revision of Class 10 English grammar, vocabulary and comprehension will help with the 30-question paper. Before reporting, spend time on a full song, pitch and tempo control, scales, notation or sight-reading, the preparatory tune and accurate tuning. Physical preparation matters too, especially the 1.6 km run and PFT-II movements. Use the same instrument in practice that you plan to take to the rally.
⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid
✓
Going on a general rally date: use the date and reporting time printed on your own admit card instead of choosing any day from the overall rally window.
✓
Forgetting the instrument: carry the instrument you need for the practical music test; arriving without it can stop you from completing that stage.
✓
Carrying only photocopies: take the required originals for Class 10 and music experience, not just photocopies; use the checklist for any stated exception.
✓
Using an older photo instruction: when an older general page differs from the current intake material, rely on the Intake 01/2027 notice and your own admit-card instructions.
✓
Believing a vacancy rumour: do not treat circulating vacancy figures as official because this intake notice does not state a fixed total.
📂 Documents and Items to Carry
✓
Carry the List A or List B instrument that you will use during the practical music test.
✓
Keep a clear colour print of the provisional admit card along with the application form produced at registration.
✓
Take the original Matriculation pass certificate and mark sheet, plus four self-attested copies of each.
✓
Bring the original music-experience proof together with four self-attested photocopies.
✓
Keep eight recent passport-size colour photographs for the rally, and also check whether your admit card carries any candidate-specific photo instruction.
✓
Pack an HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and a black or blue ball-point pen.
✓
If any COAFP, discharge, NOC or NCC paper applies to you, carry it in the form and number of copies specified for the rally.
✓
Also keep the No-Risk Certificate, Body Tattoo Certificate and Consent Form that accompany the admit card. For an applicant under 18, the consent form needs the parent or guardian signature.
