Your starting basic salary will be ₹60,000 per month, and you'll be assigned to the "Management Trainee" (E-1 level). After successfully completing one year of probation, you'll become a confirmed officer. Your basic salary can then increase from ₹60,000 to a maximum of ₹1,80,000, depending on your performance. On top of yourbasic salary, you'll also receive additional government benefits like dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), cafeteria allowance, and annual bonus (PRP). Adding all of this together, your in-hand salary will be quite high. Service Bond of ₹3 lakh: When you join the company, you must sign an agreement (a bond) that you will not leave the job for at least 5 years (60 months). You don't have to pay this ₹3 lakh in advance. The company will deduct ₹5,000 from your salary every month. When you complete your 5 years, you will receive the entire ₹3 lakh deducted in one go (no interest will be charged on it). If you leave before 5 years, the company will confiscate this amount and you may also have to repay the remaining bond amount.

Merit is determined based on CBT scores, and there is no interview in this recruitment process. Candidates who meet the required criteria will then undergo document verification and an initial medical examination. Appointments can only be granted after these procedures are completed.

Admit cards for the CIL MT CBT-26 have been available on the official website August 21, 2026. The CBT is scheduled for August 24, 2026. Since shift timings, reporting times, gate closing times, and exam center details can vary by candidate, please refer to your admit card. Ensure you carry a clear printout and a valid original photo ID on the day of the exam.

Because the exam was pending on August 23, 2026, the results or merit list were not issued. Once the CBT concludes, the recruitment can move forward with updates on results/cut-offs, provisional selection, document verification, medical exams, and postings.
