State and language rule: You can only choose one state for this recruitment, as the merit list for each state and category is compiled separately. It's important to note that in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English will be considered a local language only if the candidate studied English as a subject in a school in that state.

This means that there are no separate extra seats for the PwBD category, but rather, some seats have been reserved for them from the total number of seats. To avail this reservation, you must have the correct disability category as requested in the notification and a valid disability certificate issued as per government rules.
🎓BOB LBO Eligibility 2026
- Degree: A recognised graduation degree in any stream is enough for the education requirement; no specific graduation subject has been fixed.
- Banking experience: The applicant needs at least one year of post-qualification officer service in a Scheduled Commercial Bank covered by the RBI Second Schedule.
- Role evidence: The experience certificate and employer-certified job profile should show work broadly comparable with a Scale-I officer role. Clerical-cadre service is not counted for this condition.
- Short employment spell: A period below six months with an employer is normally left out of the experience calculation unless that period belongs to the applicant’s current job.
- State language: The applicant must be able to read, write, speak and understand the language listed for the State selected in the form.
- Optional certifications: IC 38 and the notified NISM V-A, XXI-A and XIII certificates are preferred credentials, not compulsory qualifications.
BOB Employee Restriction: Current officers and contract employees of Bank of Baroda (BOB) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment. Furthermore, those who have resigned or left their job as an officer or contract employee within the last three years from the cut-off date will also not be eligible. Simply put, current bank staff and former staff who have left their jobs within the last three years are barred from participating in this recruitment.
👥BOB LBO Category-Wise Age Relaxation
| Category | Upper-Age Relaxation |
| SC / ST | 5 Years |
| OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 Years |
| PwBD - General / EWS | 10 Years |
| PwBD - OBC | 13 Years |
| PwBD - SC / ST | 15 Years |
| Eligible Ex-Servicemen - General / EWS | 5 Years |
| Eligible Ex-Servicemen - OBC | 8 Years |
| Eligible Ex-Servicemen - SC / ST | 10 Years |
Ex-servicemen do not receive any separate reservation or quota for officer cadre jobs. If an ex-serviceman wishes to avail of age relaxation for recruitment to an officer cadre, he or she must submit a certificate in the specific format prescribed for that category, as per government regulations.
💵BOB LBO Pay, Posting and Service Conditions
- Pay scale: JMG/S-I carries the basic scale ₹48,480-2,000/7-62,480-2,340/2-67,160-2,680/7-85,920. Eligible allowances and benefits follow the Bank rules in force.
- Experience increment: A selected officer with at least one year of qualifying officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank gets one advance increment.
- State-linked posting: For the first 12 years, the officer stays within the State chosen in the application unless promotion to SMGS-IV happens earlier.
- Probation: The initial probation runs for 12 months of active service after joining.
- Service bond: The present bond requires three years of service. Leaving earlier can trigger recovery equal to three months’ gross salary, subject to the current ceiling of ₹2 lakh and the policy applicable at that time.
⚙️BOB LBO Selection Process 2026
- 1Online test: The first advertised screening stage is the sectional online examination. The Bank can still modify the assessment route if the recruitment needs it.
- 2Language check: Candidates shortlisted from the online test may have to clear the local-language test before moving to the interview stage.
- 3Additional assessment: A psychometric test or another screening method can be introduced if the Bank decides it is useful for shortlisting.
- 4GD / interview: The final assessment can include group discussion, personal interview or both, depending on the process adopted by the Bank.
If you have a 10th or 12th class record that includes a State Notified Language (State Language), you will not be required to appear for the Language Test (LPT). Furthermore, for Group Discussion (GD) and Interview (PI), General Category candidates must score at least 60% and Reserved Category candidates must score 55%, although the bank reserves the right to change these marks. Furthermore, if two candidates score a tie at the cut-off, the candidate with the higher age will be placed first in the merit list.
