π Overview: Bank of Baroda has released the official notification for recruitment of Local Bank Officers (LBOs) on a regular basis under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16. A total of 2,482 vacancies are available. Online registration starts on 18 August 2026 and the last date for submission of the application and payment of fees is 7 September 2026.

Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Mandatory qualification, preferred certifications, experience and language

✓Mandatory Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution.

✓Preferred Certification: IC 38 from Insurance Institute of India; NISM Series V-A Mutual Fund Distributors; NISM Series XXI-A PMS Distributors; and NISM Series XIII Common Derivatives Certification are preferred.

✓Mandatory Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI.

✓Experience Proof: Candidates must submit an Experience Certificate / certified job profile from their present or previous employer. If the job profile does not substantially match a Scale-I Officer profile, candidature can be rejected.

✓Clerical Experience: Experience in clerical cadre will not be considered for determining eligibility.

✓Local Language: Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of the State applied for.

π΅ Salary, Pay Scale & Benefits
The post is in JMG/S-I. The notified pay scale starts at ₹48,480 and progresses up to ₹85,920 as per the notified scale and increments. One advance increment will be granted to selected candidates having one year or more of qualifying Officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are eligible for allowances, perquisites and benefits as per Bank policy and applicable banking-sector settlement.
π Posting & Transfer Conditions
Selected candidates will be posted within the State for which they apply for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever is earlier. Thereafter, the Bank may post the employee to any branch, office or location in India as per its discretion.
π Probation Period & Service Bond

✓Probation Period: 12 months (1 year) of active service from the date of joining.

✓Service Bond: Selected candidates are required to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years.

✓Bond Recovery: If a selected candidate leaves before completing 3 years, the current bond condition requires payment equivalent to three months' gross salary, subject to a maximum of ₹2 lakh.
⚙️ Selection Process
The selection process may comprise Online Test / multiple rounds of test, Psychometric Test or any other suitable assessment, followed by Interview for candidates qualifying in the online test. The Bank may also use Group Discussion, descriptive test, multiple interviews or other shortlisting methods as required.

⚠️ Negative Marking:

π£️ Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates shortlisted in the Online Examination must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard marksheet/certificate showing that they studied the specified local language of the State as one of the subjects are exempted from the LPT. A candidate who fails the LPT will not be allowed to proceed to Personal Interview.
π€ Group Discussion / Personal Interview
Candidates may be shortlisted for GD and/or Personal Interview based on online-test performance and vacancies. The minimum qualifying marks for GD/PI are 60% for General Category and 55% for Reserved Category, subject to the Bank's right to modify the qualifying criteria.
