π¨π Who Should Pay Special Attention?
This vacancy is especially relevant to graduates who already have qualifying Officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank and are comfortable working in the local language of the State they choose. A graduate with only clerical banking experience should check the experience rule carefully, because clerical service does not satisfy the notified Officer-experience condition.

Who Can Apply? – Qualification & Eligibility
Mandatory qualification, preferred certifications, experience and language
-
✓Graduation Requirement: Applicants need a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution. The discipline of graduation itself is not restricted.
-
✓Certifications That Add Value: The notification gives preference to candidates holding IC 38 from the Insurance Institute of India and the specified NISM certifications: Series V-A, Series XXI-A and Series XIII.
-
✓Officer Experience Is Essential: At least one year of post-qualification work as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI is required. This means the recruitment should not be treated as a fresher-level banking vacancy.
-
✓How Experience Will Be Checked: Keep an Experience Certificate or an employer-certified job profile ready. The duties described in that record should substantially correspond to a Scale-I Officer profile; otherwise, the claimed experience may not establish eligibility.
-
✓Clerical Service Does Not Qualify: Time worked only in a clerical cadre cannot be used to satisfy the required Officer-experience condition.
-

The overall compensation can also include admissible allowances, perquisites and other benefits governed by Bank rules and the applicable banking settlement.
π Where Will an LBO Be Posted?
State choice has a long-term effect on posting. A selected LBO is expected to remain posted in the State chosen in the application for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever happens earlier. After that period/condition is completed, posting may be made to another Bank location in India according to organizational requirements.
π Probation & Minimum Service Requirement

✓Probation Period: 12 months (1 year) of active service from the date of joining.
-
✓Service Bond: Selected candidates are required to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years.
-
✓Bond Recovery: If a selected candidate leaves before completing 3 years, the current bond condition requires payment equivalent to three months' gross salary, subject to a maximum of ₹2 lakh.
⚙️ How the Selection Process Works
Selection can involve more than one evaluation stage. The Bank may begin with an Online Test or multiple testing rounds and can use a Psychometric Test or another suitable assessment before shortlisting candidates for an Interview. Depending on the recruitment requirement, Group Discussion, a descriptive test, additional interviews or another shortlisting method may also be used.
π BOB LBO Online Test Pattern

π£️ Local Language Test – Who Needs to Take It?
Local-language ability is an important part of this State-based recruitment. Shortlisted applicants may have to clear the Local Language Test – Who Needs to Take It?. If the prescribed State language appears as a studied subject on the candidate's 10th or 12th standard marksheet/certificate, the notification provides an exemption from this test. Candidates who are required to take the LPT must qualify it to move forward to the Personal Interview stage.
π€ GD / Personal Interview Stage
Performance in the online examination, the available vacancies and the Bank's shortlisting criteria determine who proceeds to GD and/or Personal Interview. The stated minimum qualifying level for GD/PI is 60% for General Category and 55% for Reserved Category. The Bank retains the authority to revise the qualifying standard where permitted by the recruitment terms.
